Welcome to Upton Meadows Primary School.

Our school is located on the outskirts of Northampton and serves the community of Upton and Banbury Lane. The Upton Development is a model for sustainable growth and English Partnerships (now HCA) together with The Prince's Foundation and Northampton Borough Council prepared the design codes for the development.
The school has children from 4+ to 11 years. It is a growing school and has the capacity to grow to 420 pupils.
The school has just started its eighth academic year and had an Ofsted inspection in March 2011, click here  to link to Ofsted site.
The school has been recognised as being a Healthy School and has been awarded Enhanced Health School status part of which is gaining Accreditation on Anti-Bullying. We recently achieved a Bronze Science Quality Mark and are now working towards the Artsmark. The school has been recognised as being an Eco School and has just been awarded its first Green Flag Award. The School Council have also been assessed as working at the Bronze level.

In recognition of our work on global learning the school has achieved the full International Award and received funding from the British Council to develop our links and partnership through visits to and from Ghana.

At Upton Meadows Primary School we believe that every child must be provided with opportunities to develop socially, emotionally, academically and physically to achieve the highest possible standards. We are an inclusive learning community that is forward thinking and committed to ensuring that all children in our care are happy, enthusiastic and purposeful learners.

We are proud of our achievements and welcome the opportunity to show people our amazing school. If you would like to visit us please phone, email or call in to make an appointment.

Best wishes,

Mrs Sue Gardner
